What is better than dogs and beer? Almost nothing of course, and that is why I bring you Golden Honey Girl Wheat.

The illustration came from a DIY Christmas Gift idea I never finished. The name came from a friend’s dog. With a name like Honey, the honeycomb, color, and bee touches, were a no-brainer.

When designing concepts, I always try to make sure they adhere to the same standards and other design constraints professionals must adjust to in their designs. In this case, the brewery was prominent on the front label of the can. Since I didn’t have a brewery, I had to make one with a logo. “J. Rogers Brewing” clearly refers to me, but the man that is illustrated is actually from a barbershop logo I was asked to create years ago, that never got off the ground.
